Privacy Policy

Ice Breaker keeps everything on your device. There is nothing to send, because nothing is collected.

Data collected: none.

Ice Breaker has no account system, no login, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no tracking of any kind and no backend server of its own. The app contains no code that transmits information anywhere, and it functions completely offline. The App Store privacy label for this app is Data Not Collected.

What is stored on your device

All of the following is written into the app's own private container on your device (Apple's app sandbox), where no other app can read it:

Progress and preferences are stored in the app's user defaults; Trophy Card photos are stored as JPEG files in the app's Application Support directory.

Permissions we ask for, and when

Camera — requested only at the moment you tap Camera in the Trophy Studio. It is used for one photograph, which is downscaled and written into the app's own storage to serve as a card backdrop. No other use, no upload.
Photo library (read) — requested only at the moment you tap Library in the Trophy Studio, and only the single image you choose is read. The rest of your library is never accessed or enumerated.
Photo library (add only) — requested only when you tap Save card to Photos. The app writes the finished card and nothing else.
Notifications — requested during the optional intro step or from Settings, never on first launch. Used for exactly two local notifications: the Daily Catch refresh and a single streak warning at 8:45pm. There is no push server; iOS schedules these on the device.

Declining any of these leaves the rest of the game fully playable. You can change your mind at any time in iOS Settings → Ice Breaker.

Third parties

There are none. Ice Breaker ships with no third-party SDKs, frameworks or services. It does not use ad networks, attribution providers, analytics providers, authentication providers, payment processors or AI services. It makes no network requests at all.

The music bundled with the app is licensed royalty-free work by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0, and the typefaces are Fredoka, Nunito and Patrick Hand under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. These are files inside the app, not services.

Children

Ice Breaker is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age. It contains no chat, no user-generated content sharing, no social features, no external links inside gameplay and no purchases.

Deleting your data

Settings → About → Erase all data inside the game immediately deletes progress, the codex, the streak history, preferences and every Trophy Card photo.

Deleting the app from your Home Screen removes the entire container, which achieves the same thing. Because nothing is ever uploaded, there is no copy held anywhere else and nothing for us to delete on your behalf.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Ice Breaker ever changes what it stores or asks for, this page and the App Store privacy label will be updated before that version ships, and the effective date at the top will change.
